Accredited certifications are one of the ways end users and customers determine the trustworthiness of a brand. Having verified third-party organizations certify a company helps demonstrate that its products, processes, and operations meet established standards for safety, responsibility, and transparency.

However, accredited certifications can matter beyond purchasing decisions. They show consumers what values a brand is committed to and provide insight into ethical and sustainable practices behind the product. SW Sustainability Solutions has always prioritized sustainability in the glove industry and prides itself on maintaining a responsible business model — not only in protecting the environment, but also in engaging in ethical business practices.

SW has demonstrated this again and again through certifications awarded by respected third-party organizations.

California Green Business certification, SW meets all 65 criteria that the company operates in an environmentally responsible manner. California Green Businesses collectively aim to reduce their carbon footprint by conserving their water usage, waste production, and energy usage.

The SA8000 certification, developed by Social Accountability International, verifies that a company maintains ethical workplace standards, including safe conditions and fair treatment of workers.

SW products are also Skin Health Alliance (SHA) approved. The Skin Health Alliance is a leading internationally recognized not-for-profit organization that awards dermatological accreditation. Earning SHA recognition means fulfilling strict skin safety requirements reviewed by independent dermatologists and skin scientists. SW was the first unlined glove manufacturer to earn the globally recognized SHA symbol, reinforcing our commitment to putting customer health and safety first.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification guarantees that products are made from materials sourced from responsibly managed forests, confirming that they provide environmental, social, and economic benefits. FSC is an organization that has been around since 1995 and has certified over 3000 other US companies. SW is dedicated to source packaging materials from FSC certified resources.

With these certifications under its belt, SW is proud to also be B Corp Certified. B Corp Certification is awarded by B Lab Global to companies that meet rigorous standards of verified social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. SW achieved this certification by earning a qualifying B Impact Assessment score, passing a risk review, and committing to operate in the interest of all stakeholders. Recertification every three years ensures continued progress and leadership in responsible business.

SW gloves are thoroughly tested against industry scientific standards, meeting global safety and quality expectations while also supporting sustainable and ethical practices.
