In the world of water and waste treatment, exposure to moisture, chemicals, and biological contaminants is a daily reality. From operating equipment in damp environments to handling solid waste materials or conducting lab testing, every task comes with its own set of challenges. And at the heart of worker safety is one critical tool: the glove.
At SW Sustainability Solutions, we understand that protecting workers’ hands means more than just barrier protection—it means engineering gloves that are ready for the specific hazards and environments of the water and waste treatment industry.

Engineered for Harsh Conditions

Water and wastewater treatment facilities expose workers to wet, slippery surfaces and aggressive disinfectants such as chlorine, ammonia, and peracetic acid. Our research and development team has specifically engineered glove solutions that stand up to these tough conditions.

Whether it’s grime-covered piping, tanks filled with biohazards, or corrosive chemical agents, your hand protection needs to be:

  • Liquid-resistant and leak-proof to prevent permeation and saturation.
  • Grip-enhanced to maintain control and dexterity even in slick environments.
  • Durably constructed to resist abrasion and tearing during handling of waste, tools, and equipment.
  • PFAS-free to help avoid the risk of hazardous contamination leaching into aquatic environments.

SW Glove Solutions by Application

  1. Water Treatment Facilities (Outdoor & Extended Use):
Our CoreSafe gloves—F28O, F22B, and F28YB—are designed to offer extended protection during long outdoor shifts. These gloves provide excellent chemical resistance, strong grip in wet conditions, and a durable barrier against the elements. Additionally, the NewTrile lineNF15, NU15, and NU11—delivers enhanced comfort and performance for workers exposed to water, detergents, and mechanical hazards during longer wear times.
  2. Laboratory Testing & Contamination Control:
In water quality labs and chemical testing stations where contamination control is the primary concern, gloves must meet cleanliness standards and provide tactile sensitivity. We recommend the PF-95TL, PF-95GW, PF-12TL, and PF-95IN, which offer barrier protection without sacrificing comfort or precision.
  3. Solid Waste Handling & Equipment Sorting:
When it comes to sorting and handling dry solid waste, rugged construction and abrasion resistance are essential. Our TotalForm TF-14BK and TF-44BK gloves are built to withstand tough conditions such as sharp edges, rough surfaces, and repeated equipment use. In wet environments, these tasks are better suited to the CoreSafe or NewTrile lines for their superior wet grip and moisture resistance.

Our Commitment to Sustainability and Worker Safety

At SW, performance and sustainability go hand-in-hand. Our gloves are PFAS-free, eliminating the risk of introducing “forever chemicals” into sensitive water systems. With a portfolio built around durability, reduced glove usage, and responsible materials, we help organizations in the water and waste sector meet both safety and environmental goals.

From outdoor operations to lab-based testing and solid waste sorting, SW® delivers high-performance hand protection engineered for the real demands of the water and waste treatment industry.
