In the industrial and automotive industries, silicone is a widely used material known for its superior lubrication qualities. Silicone is a polymer composed of silicon, carbon, and oxygen, and it’s frequently used in industrial lubricants, mold-releasing agents, and greases due to its high temperature tolerance (up to 400-450 degrees Fahrenheit). However, despite these positives, silicone can present challenges in specific settings. In applications where painted or dipped coatings are involved, or when adhesives are applied, silicone can resist adhesion and is difficult to remove due to its chemical inertness. For these reasons, certain environments, such as clean rooms or auto body detailing shops, require silicone-free gloves.
At SW, all of our single-use products are manufactured using a silicone-free process to ensure versatility and minimal contamination. Our newest entrant in the PowerForm glove series, the PF-95IN, upholds this silicone-free standard while delivering exceptional performance across various industrial applications. This multipurpose glove offers optimal thickness for durability and tactile sensitivity, with a finger textured surface that ensures a secure grip in both wet and dry environments. Additionally, PF-95IN features a tear-resistant beaded cuff, which makes donning and doffing effortless.
PF-95BK, another glove in the PowerForm series, boasts a silicone and residue-free surface that minimizes product contamination. Alongside being silicone-free, PF-95BK provides Type B chemical resistance, making it ideal for those handling caustic agents. Its fully textured surface enhances grip, reducing the risk of accidental slippage in the workplace.
SW is dedicated to providing a wide range of glove options that cater to various needs, allowing customers to select the best glove for their specific applications with confidence in both performance and sustainability.
