SW is proud to announce that we are now FSC CoC certified!

SW’s Mission is sustainability, and one critical aspect of sustainability is managing our natural resources. SW targeted packaging as an avenue for improvement to be more sustainable, this included everything from the packaging materials to the inks used in the printing. We did this by taking steps to verify that our materials come from certified sources who take forest stewardship seriously.

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization with the mission to promote environmentally friendly, socially beneficial, and economically viable forest management worldwide through the recognized Forest Stewardship principles and standards.

What is the value of FSC Certification to SW and stakeholders?

  • Principles and Values:A FSC certification shows that SW packaging comes from certified recycled materials or controlled wood sources, it meets the high social and environmental standards we should all expect.
  • Social Responsibility: Ensures and promotes supply chain sustainability using FSC-certified packaging materials. SW undertakes the corporate responsibility of the 21st century and provides the development of a Sustainable World.
  • Validation: FSC certification delivers confidence, trust, and builds accountability. It complements our brand mission of sustainability.
  • Risk Mitigation: Currently, both the EUTR (European Union Timber Regulation) and the Lacey Act in the US have specific requirements for the legality of wood products entering their markets. Having a FSC certification will minimize environmental risk, reduce product rejection or prosecution, and reduce and avoid legal risks in international trade.

The Forest Stewardship Council and Chain of Custody certifications deliver on the promise of a Sustainable World. We take responsibility of our product right to the end user and are proud to lead the way for sustainability in hand protection.
